MISS JUNETEENTH SCHOLARSHIP PAGEANTRY PROGRAM™-MOBILE, AL
JUNE 2023: Dr. Farmer led the prayer at the Sunday Brunch as apart of the closing activity at the MISS JUNETEENTH SCHOLARSHIP PAGEANTRY PROGRAM™. Special guest speakers also included college representitives from various HBCUs and local colleges. The MISS JUNETEENTH SCHOLARSHIP PAGEANTRY PROGRAM™ is a platform program of the Maynard 4 Foundation. This program is a unique pageantry experience for young ladies nationwide between the ages of 13-18. This pageant experience aims not only to showcase the inherent beauty and talent of these young ladies but to minimize stereotypes; develop a sense of self-confidence and pride; and deepen the understanding of African and Black/African American history and culture.

Prince George’s County Police Department College Summit
July 2019: Dr. Farmer was a Panel Speaker at the Prince George’s County Police Department College Summit. Special guest speakers also included current college students and radio personality Angie Ange from WKYS 93.9. The Summit allowed high school students and first year students, and their families, to understand what to know before the go or return to college.

College Board Summer Institute for International Counselors
June 2018: Dr. Farmer attended the College Board Summer Institute for International Counselors. The Summer Institute was held at New York University and included International Counselors from all over the world. The conference included counseling workshops a college fair and college tours of Columbia University.

American University's Annual Student Success Summit
August 13, 2018: Dr.Farmer was one of three (3) guest panelistd invited to speak at American University's Student Success Summit with faculty and staff. The panelists were asked share their perspectives on what the university to know regarding current student trends and how to best support students with their school-to-college transition.
